A 5th generation Texan born and raised in Montgomery County, Matt's deep Texas roots fuel his passion for supporting local businesses. With an MBA from Sam Houston State and over five years of lending experience, Matt has also leveraged his background in government compliance, finance, and public relations to help small businesses navigate the complex lending environment and secure the funding they need to thrive. His comprehensive understanding of government processes ensures that Texas Empresarios' clients receive not only financial support but also expert guidance through a complicated and competitive loan process.

Jose Tristan is one of the Managing Partners of Texas Empresarios and brings over 25 years of business development experience working alongside business owners. His background spans alternative business lending, capital consulting, and strategic advisory, helping small and mid-sized businesses navigate capital decisions and long-term growth.
Jose has spent more than a decade advising businesses on alternative lending solutions and capital strategy, with a focus on aligning financing with the realities of the business. Earlier in his career, he worked with Fortune 100 companies at Verizon, supporting enterprise IT solutions. A proud Texan, born and raised, Jose is bilingual in English and Spanish and is committed to helping business owners move forward with clarity and confidence.

Carolina Sarmiento serves as Chief Transactions Coordinator at Texas Empresarios, where she oversees transaction flow and supports execution across capital and real estate engagements. She brings extensive experience in real estate, escrow, and transaction coordination, with a strong focus on accuracy, organization, and timely closings.
Carolina has worked as a licensed Texas Realtor and previously held escrow and legal assistant roles with multiple title companies and law firms, giving her hands-on experience managing transactions from contract to close. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she plays a key role in coordinating documentation, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring transactions move forward smoothly and efficiently.
